Thank you co-Creators of “CORNWALLIS CLOTH” – by Tony T

Tony Thompson

CORNWALLIS CLOTH, Sweet Patootee Arts’ new Black heritage drama film and exhibition are a hit. It’s a wonderful endorsement for our participatory storytelling.

Co-Creators' thank you card

Sweet Patootee Arts’ co-creation for high-quality storytelling is a big investment of project and team members’ resources.

Inclusive community co-creation only works if you do it properly, because short-changing your participants poisons your profile and public credibility. So the high cost of success is an unavoidable challenge.

But If you can meet these ‘costs’, and if (like Sweet Patootee Arts), you build a team, volunteers, and advisors steeped in irreverence and creative producer skills for working with community co-Creators from diverse backgrounds; you can bring potent authenticity into the creative work – in shared learning, wellbeing, and achievement.

You’re also facilitating strong public investment in your project – by inspiring your participating communities to inform their wider networks.

These are strong rewards that strengthen your organisation’s profile, resilience and development… That’s why so many thanks are due!

CORNWALLIS CLOTH is an IWM 14-18 NOW Legacy Fund commission, in partnership with Sweet Patootee Arts.
