About Marilyn
Marilyn was a participant in TURNING POINT (London) heritage programme’s ‘Sunday Best’ – sewing skills and heritage research workshop.

Marilyn is an East London-based mixed-media artist who creates magical, intense narratives with mystical and cultural overtones. Hercreative practice is rooted in memory and storytelling, which she uses to convey the lived experiences of communities and cultures. Through both personal and collective narratives, she explores themes of identity, heritage, ritual, and interconnectedness — to one another and to something greater.
