Get Into Dance shines a spotlight on the power of dance to bring people together, improve wellbeing and celebrate identity. This festival showcases the work of dance classes taking place in community centres across East London at Sadler’s Wells East.
This event will be an opportunity to see what our amazing TURNING POINT participants have been getting up to in our workshops with Hibiscus Community Centre and choreographer Nicholas Norman.
Choreographer Nicholas Norman has been delivering dance workshops at Hibiscus Community Centre with Caribbean elders in collaboration with Sweet Patootee Arts. In this event, they will present a dance piece based on TURNING POINT, which honours the Black Caribbean experience at the turn of the 20th century — a powerful blend of storytelling, history and movement.
This event is free and open to all.
When: Saturday 29 June, 2025 | 12-6pm
Where: The Dance Floor, Sadler’s Wells East, E20 2AR
